High Cascades Agency was founded in 1981 as an independent agency by Wayne Lunday. The agency primarily focused on individual and group life and health programs for owners of small businesses. Because many logging companies and loggers were ignored by the larger agencies, Wayne created a focused program that catered to the needs of the independent loggers in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon.

Over time, as education and experienced allowed, Wayne expanded his offerings to include Estate Planning, Business Continuation Planning, Key Employee Coverage, Self-Funded Medical Programs. This allowed the agency to become more mainstream while still offering the special needs products designed for the logging industry.

In 1997 Wayne & Jana Lunday bought the independent Property and Casualty agency of Ron Quaife. Ron had been in business in Castle Rock for more than 35 years and was interested in a perpetuation plan that would allow his clients to continue to receive local, down-home service. Combining the two agencies was a slam-dunk for both Wayne and Ron, as they both had the same client service values... basically, following "The Golden Rule". It is more than a motto. It is the agency's way of life. While many larger agencies are focused on automation at the expense of client service, we here at High Cascades Agency really do like to see and talk with our clients as often as we can!

In addition to the regular insurance business, we offer friendly community service including free notary services as well as a fax machine and photocopier that many in the community take advantage of.
